Along with the features and inclusions for each plan, there is a set of Normalisations calculated for each plan. The 'normalised' rating is calculated for each plan and describes its normalised ranking compared to the other plans.
Normalised Price: expressed from 0 to 1, where the higher the rating, the more expensive the plan.
Inclusion: expressed from 0 to 1, where the higher the rating, the more inclusions in the plan.
Download Speed: expressed from 0 to 1, where the higher the rating, the faster the download.
Upload Speed: expressed from 0 to 1, where the higher the rating, the faster the upload.
Normalised Composite Score: expressed from 0 to 1, where the customer's weighted requirements are multiplied against the normalised rating. The higher the composite score, the closer the internet plan matches the customer's overall requirements.
Available internet plans: This lists the plans to consider, but also ranks them for suitability, where the first plan listed is considered the most suitable based on the Normalised composite score. However, this ranking is a guide only; it was calculated without all the information provided to you on the customer's requirements and comments.

There are 3 general types of Telstra internet plans - all offer a range of speeds and supported Tech Types.
1) Telstra Internet Only plans : these plans offer lower-cost internet connectivity, but do not include a phone line, modem, Mobile network backup or support Priority Assistance. Users can purchase a modem (or BYO modem).
2) Telstra NBN internet plans: these plans include internet connectivity and also come with a Telstra smart modem, phone line, Smartfix, and a 4G/5G backup connection. They are more expensive than the internet-only option, but offer a bundle that represents good value to customers.
3) 5G home internet plans - includes modem. You will not be able to make or receive calls, or support a lift or medical or security alarm which relies on a phone line to operate. Once you exceed your included data allowance, your speed will be capped at 25Mbps download. Speeds experienced may be slower over Wi-Fi and can also be impacted by other factors.
Output requirements:
Write a short customer needs summary that includes a title and then 3 bullet points that reflect the customer's needs in association with the internet plans, weighting and preferences. Write this in first person with terms like 'we recommend'.
The title should be something like:
'We recommend an **internet only** plan, on a connection with at least **500MBPS** download.'
The 3 supporting bullet points should reference the customers' needs, comments and preferences. Highlight the benefits the customer wants to achieve, mention peak-time activity and what matters most to the customer. Refer to the required download and upload speeds in simple terms that show we understand the requirements.
Examples :
'We have prioritised value for money over internet speed, and resilience features such as mobile backup and smart modem.'
' We recommend plans for **a highly-connected** household of 3 people with peak-time usage including 2 streaming sessions and 1 browsing session, indicating moderate to high data demand.'
'We understand that multiple people will have access to streaming services, which benefit from higher download speeds and stable connections.'
Then, provide 3 recommended plans :
1) Best Overall recommendation: best plan based on customer's preferences and weightings
- Plan name
- Download / Upload speed
- Key reasons this plan was chosen (in 4 bullet points with benefits and reference preferences):
2) 2nd recommendation: 2nd best based on customer's preferences and weightings
